Kyra is driven by an unwavering commitment to improved health and well-being, she empowers her clients to overcome insecurities, cultivate self-awareness, and navigate healing from past traumas. Blending evidence-based practices with mindfulness, she approaches therapy as a collaborative process and strives to create a safe, authentic, and empathetic environment.
Kyra is open to working with an array of clients, her areas of interest include working with individuals struggling with trauma, anxiety and depression, relational loss, attachment issues, and life transitions.
Outside of her academic and counseling pursuits, Kyra enjoys nature walks, yoga and meditation, good food, and spending time with her friends. She believes in a holistic approach to healing and feels honored to meet her clients where they are on their unique healing journeys.

Kyra, a Counseling Intern in Training, is currently completing her Master of Arts in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling at MidAmerica Nazarene University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Columbia College. Under the supervision of Eddie Barnett, LPC 2020025030 (MO), LPC 3660 (KS), Kyra is currently accepting new clients, ages 14 and up, via Telehealth or in-person.
Fees
My rate is $30-$60 per 50-minute session. The sliding scale fee is based on availability and the rate is figured by calculating 0.1% of total annual household income.
